What does HPO mean?
HPO stands for Harnessing the Power of Oligosaccharides. Biostime SN-2 BIO PLUS HPO Infant Formula includes the oligosaccharide 2′-O-Fucosyllactose (2′-FL).
What is 2′-FL?
2′-FL HMO, or 2′-O-Fucosyllactose is a human milk oligosaccharide (HMO) that is structurally identical to a prebiotic found in breastmilk. About 80% of mothers make 2′-FL in their breastmilk¹. There are 150 different HMOs and 2’FL is the most prominent in breastmilk².
What is the advanced synbiotic?
Biostime SN-2 BIO PLUS Infant Formula is blended with a synbiotic blend of 2′-FL HMO, a nature inspired prebiotic, and cultures of B. Infantis M63, a probiotic naturally found in the digestive system of breast-fed infants.
